Many of these are grouped by tsar, which helps to illustrate major  social or political trends of each tsars&#8217; reign.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>What&#8217;s nice is that there is an actual connection between Russian history and Sonoma County: It&#8217;s the 200th Anniversary of the establishment of Fort Ross. &#8220;Fort Ross was a thriving Russian-American Company settlement from 1812  to 1841.
