Oh, oh, oh! I want to enter this giveaway! I’m always intrigued by Prada’s take on shoes!
There is one garment that leaps to mind and its this: http://www.schoolhousepress.com/images/bowknotmuseump.jpg The bow knot sweater. 1927! My 12 year old daughter has one from a UK high st shop that looks very similar. Surely that is proof of her design talent, that the look is still around almost 100 years later.
I’ve always loved the pretty jacket with the insect buttons.

I’m a HUGE fan of Schiaparelli, and really loved Prada’s designs, especially when I was in fashion school, so would love a chance to add this book to my bookshelf.
One of my all time favorites is the lobster dress. http://www.philamuseum.org/collections/permanent/65327.html though I adore pretty much everything she created from 1937-1940. Amazing fashions!

I’ve seen this Schiaparelli and Jean Cocteau collaboration with my own eyes. It’s a beautiful dress and jacket evening ensemble. Cocteau did the illustration for the embroidery.

OK, So by entering this contest I found out that my only Schiaparelli book I have is missing. I’m assuming that I lend it out to a friend who never returned it 🙁 So I’m not even going to think about that right now. Schiaparelli was my inspiration through college. I feel that she was one of the only fashion designers who’s clothes were art, ‘surrealism’. The woman hung out with Marcel Duchamp and Man Ray, I mean seriously how much cooler does it get? She was a true artistic visionary of her time And one who danced to the beat of her drum! My favorite designs are:
